The person standing in the bow was a woman and she was Hungarian. The former statement is nothing special. Women never stand by the helm. They jump. At the same time they let out a scream – a piercing or a mute. The woman whose name was Petra always screamed in silence. Not only because she considered screaming a gross behaviour and because deep inside she still believed that a woman had to be a lady whatever the circumstances. But because that was all what remained of her ladylikeness: her muteness.
